Green Tips

Here are a few tips & tricks from the Clean Green crew & Tiffany’s Grandmother. Give them a try or just call on Clean Green… now your home too, can be sparkling green!

  • To help prevent grease buildup in your sink drains and keep them smelling fresh, pour a handful of baking soda down the drain pipe, then pour in a half cup of vinegar. Cover the drain tightly for a few minutes, then flush with cold water.
  • Gum stuck on clothes or furniture? To loosen chewing gum stuck to carpeting or upholstery, soak it with vinegar.
  • Sprinkle baking soda on any carpet with an ominous odor, let sit for a few minutes, and then vacuum it up for a clean scent!
  • Make your own Green Cleaning Spray! – Fill a spray bottle with 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water. Add a few drops of orange essence to get rid of the vinegar scent, and you’ll have your own healthy and green cleaning spray to use at home.
  • Houseplants are inexpensive and earth friendly air filters! Plants such as chrysanthemums, English ivy, spider plants, and Boston ferns naturally freshen the air and remove toxins.
  • Remove stains and grime from your oven with sea salt. Simply cover the soiled areas in your oven with sea salt while it’s still warm. Once it cools, scrape off and wash with a damp cloth. Easy.
